Product Introduction

In general, boiler water mostly uses soft water as make-up water. However, during operation, soft water may leak hardness or exceed its service cycle, bringing hardness into the feedwater. As boiler pressure and temperature increase, the solubility of hardness decreases, causing insoluble solids to form scale deposits on the pipelines. These scales block boiler tubes, reduce heat transfer efficiency, waste energy, and in severe cases, excessively thick scale can cause local overheating and pipe rupture. To solve scaling problems, proper soft water treatment should be carried out, together with internal boiler chemical treatment, in order to achieve the best maintenance effect.

The corrosion phenomenon in boiler water systems is caused by various factors, such as pH value, dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, pressure, and flow rate. Among these, dissolved oxygen is the main cause of corrosion. The characteristic of dissolved oxygen corrosion is the formation of pitting on the metal surface.

Bicarbonate ions in boiler water decompose under heat, and carbon dioxide is released with the steam, dispersing into the steam and condensate system. When the steam condenses, carbon dioxide dissolves in the condensate water, forming carbonic acid (H₂CO₃), which partially dissociates to produce hydrogen ions. Hydrogen ions are strongly acidic and quickly corrode iron, generating hydrogen gas and ferrous ions, thereby creating a corrosive condition.

Our company’s comprehensive treatment agents can resolve the above issues, providing effective boiler protection.

Features
  1. This agent can react with feedwater hardness to form phosphate compounds, preventing scale from adhering to boiler heat transfer surfaces.
  2. If scale has already formed in the boiler, this agent can gradually dissolve and remove the deposits.
  3. It stabilizes boiler water pH, preventing embrittlement caused by high alkalinity.
  4. It can rapidly remove dissolved oxygen in water, preventing oxygen pitting in boiler tubes. Reaction:
    SO₃²⁻ + O₂ → 2SO₄²⁻
  5. This agent contains Morpholine and Cyclohexylamine. When continuously added into steam or feedwater lines, it evaporates with steam into the steam system, dissolves in condensate, neutralizes carbonic acid, and increases condensate pH to 8.0–9.0, thus preventing corrosion.
  6. With excellent dispersing ability, it disperses insoluble solids in boiler water and soft sludge deposits in boiler tubes.
  7. It provides effective defoaming action, controlling boiler water foaming at high alkalinity, and ensuring good steam quality.
